Formula Drift ProAM Round 2 Evergreen Speedway

Formula Drift ProAM Round 2 Evergreen Speedway

It has been a long time since I've shot on track and an even longer time since I've posted anything here! Being long over due and with a lot of changes in my life I figured it was time.  The Formula Drift ProAM guys at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe Washington were the perfect subject.

For those that dont know me personally I was based out of southern California and have recently moved up north to the soggy and beautifully green Portland Oregon.  I have been working full time so photo taking and blog writing have been shoved to the very back of the fridge.  So mold aside - here we go!

My girlfriend Nicole, her father, and I packed into the car and headed up to Monroe Saturday morning.  Turns out Nicole's brother's friend is Pro AM driver Ket Voang!  We met up with them and shortly after introductions were made we rolled on into the pits and the excitement began!

It was an overcast day with promises of rain for the whole event but that doesn't stop the Northwest's stars from showing up and shining.

Spotted - Victor Moore's car doesn't hide well with that beautiful scheme!

Cameron Moore's appearance was no surprise as he seems to have his sights set on a FD license for next year with his 3rd place podium at RD 1.

Wall and bumper - It's a fashion statement...   :)

The driver's met at the starting line and went over the logistics as always

Kory Keezer made a fashionably late appearance with his... errr....  1/2 car.

Despite a lack of body parts, Kory's car is pretty damn legit.

Wait, what?  Is that sunshine I see?!?  The rain never did show and the sun shone on the cars and made for a spectacular day to drift!

Ian Fournier gettin' dirty

Peter Funatake getting in the zone

 and practice begins!

Tyler Grimsley entering the 5/8's bank

Rob Primo's car is gorgeous!

Cameron and his car have come a long way recently.  I'm excited to see how his season wraps up.

Ket's LS powered smoke screen machine.  Ket qualified 7th but due to a broken steering knuckle was unable to proceed.

Kyle Pollard also made an appearance in his other car

Scott Pham's FC is a sexy beast

Eric Hagen's mellow yellow S13 beast

Jim Xiong Qualified 6th after battling overheating issues and a new suspension set-up.

Scott won this battle when his opponent decided to pass and move a barrel while he was at it!

The event was a success with Eric Hagen coming in third followed By Cameron Moore and the win going to Ian Fournier.  Congrats to all!  I had a blast and will certainly be back for more. The more attention this gets the higher my chances so please share away!  A special thanks to Travis for getting me into media last minute, to Ket and his team for letting us party along with them, Nicole for her pics and her dad for driving!  All of the pics plus more will be available at my website www.shuttermeshort.com soon!
